Krishnan & Associates Inc., recently organized and promoted a seminar for Coal Fired Boiler Technology at the ITC Maratha Hotel in Mumbai, India on “Advancements in Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Technology Providing the Best Solutions for India's Energy Future”
Indian power producers require low cost, environmentally clean yet very reliable baseload power generation that can leverage India’s vast indigenous coal and biomass resources. CFB technology has increased its world-wide presence principally due to its highly-desirable fuel flexibility feature combined with significantly reduced air emissions, particularly CO2. The CFB’s fuel flexible and low emissions design provide Indian power producers the ability to utilize the lowest cost coal, petcoke, coal slurry, lignite, washery rejects, biomass, rice husks and peat, even in variable mix combinations, to produce the lowest possible power cost for Indian consumers.
CFB technology also offers several additional commercial advantages. Its inherent low emissions design avoids the cost of installing and operating expensive DeNOx and DeSOx flue gas cleaning equipment. Supercritical and ultra-supercritical CFB technology further increase conversion efficiency thus lowering both CO2 emissions and the overall cost of electricity production. Long-term operating data clearly demonstrates that CFB clean coal technology has a lower forced and planned outage rate and thus higher reliability than conventional coal and biomass combustion technologies. All these features should be very attractive.
Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW), the world leaders in CFB technology with its Indian licensee ISGEC, is proud to extend a personal invitation to you to attend our free CFB Technology Seminar on April 26, 2018 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm at the ITC Maratha Hotel, Near Terminal II International Airport, Sahar, Andheri (E), Mumbai, Maharashtra. The seminar will feature CFB specialists Robert Giglio, Asif Hussain and NR Shastry.
The seminar will focus on the technical, economic and environmental benefits of CFB boilers that may be customized for the Indian power market. Plant case studies relevant to the Indian market & fuels will be presented.
